Who we are
This website is operated by Jordan Nicholls, using the Formulated Haus brand. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Jordan Nicholls.
This policy explains how personal information is handled through our public website, enquiries, free tools and demonstrations. A client project may need additional privacy terms appropriate to its own services, users and information. This policy does not replace those terms.

Information we receive and why
Website visits
This website is hosted by Netlify. Netlify receives connection and request information when pages and resources load. Loading pages makes requests for the page and its resources. The main page requests fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives connection and request information when those fonts load. Linked websites have their own privacy practices.
Enquiries
The enquiry form uses Netlify Forms to process and store submissions and filter spam. An email notification is configured for hello@formulatedhaus.com. A submission acknowledgement confirms acceptance for processing, not email delivery. No automatic marketing subscription or project start is authorized by an enquiry.
When you send an enquiry, we ask for your name, business name and email address so we can understand and respond to your request. You may also provide services of interest, a project brief, business type, number of locations, timeline and budget. Choosing a package or example can add context to your brief. We use these details to respond, assess the potential project and manage the enquiry.
Please send only what is needed. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in the form.
Completing the form prepares a browser draft. Selecting Send enquiry sends the entered details and a request reference to Netlify Forms for processing and review by Formulated Haus. Spam filtering may separate a submission from the verified enquiry list. Contacting us through an email link opens your email application, where you choose whether to send a message.
The form also uses a hidden anti-spam field and a generated request identifier to help handle submissions. An enquiry draft and retry information may be held in your browser's session storage. The application treats draft data as expired after 24 hours; this is an application check rather than a promise of immediate physical erasure at that time. Sending successfully or using the form's clear action removes the draft. Retry information is stored separately. Closing the relevant browser session or clearing site data can remove session storage, subject to your browser's restore behaviour.
The enquiry form also uses Google reCAPTCHA, provided through Netlify, to help prevent automated spam. Loading and using the challenge sends connection, device and interaction information to Google, which may use cookies. Netlify validates the challenge response before accepting a submission. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms. You can contact us by email if you cannot use the challenge. Challenge responses are not saved in our browser drafts.
Free tools and downloads
The current QR, margin, invoice, résumé, budget, to-do, background-removal, image-resize, signature and mileage tools process their inputs in your browser. The inspected implementation does not upload tool inputs or files to a tool-processing service. Loading the website still makes the hosting and resource requests described in this policy.
The résumé, budget, to-do and mileage tools offer an explicit “Save on this device” option. If you use it, the saved information is kept in this browser's local storage until you delete it using the available controls or clear the browser's site data. This storage is not encrypted by the tools; anyone with access to the browser profile may be able to access it. Avoid saving sensitive information on a shared device. Other tools hold their working inputs in the open page rather than a persistent tool record. Files you download or print remain wherever you choose to save or print them.
The mileage tool uses distances you enter; it does not collect GPS location. Background removal uses a model loaded from the website and runs in your browser; it does not send your image to an external AI-processing API.
A QR code contains the text or link used to create it. Anyone who can view or scan a shared code may be able to read that information. Opening a link in a QR code takes you to the destination's service and privacy practices.
Demonstrations and possible future features
Concepts and demonstrations illustrate possible designs or workflows. Please use fictional sample information in demonstrations. Some demonstrations save simulated state in browser local or session storage; use their reset controls or clear site data to remove it.
Descriptions of possible hosting, automation or AI services do not mean those features are active on this website. If a feature will send personal information to another service, we will explain the actual processing and obtain consent where required before that use begins.
Cookies and browser storage
The website uses session storage for completed introductory screens, motion preferences, filters and template choices. The enquiry form and optional tool-saving features use browser storage as explained above. Clearing site data can reset these preferences and remove saved work; save any downloads you want to keep first.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand which Formulated Haus pages people visit and improve the website. Analytics loads only after you select Accept all. It may receive page-view and session information, browser and device details, approximate location derived from your connection, and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. We send only approved page names and paths, without query strings, arbitrary URL fragments or referring-page details. We do not send enquiry entries, tool inputs, passwords or demo records to Analytics.
Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_VCYEPV2RJR) are configured to expire after 30 days without a rolling extension. We remember your accept or reject choice in this browser for up to 30 days. Use Cookie preferences on any measured page to change your choice. Choosing Essential only or withdrawing consent stops future Analytics collection by this site and clears its Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already sent to Google. The website remains usable if you reject analytics. Necessary site-access storage and Google reCAPTCHA spam protection are separate and are not disabled by that choice.
Google processes Analytics information and may process it outside Canada. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled for this implementation. Analytics report retention is governed by the property settings and applicable Google terms; the cookie lifetime above is not a promise that historical reports are deleted after 30 days. Your choices
You choose whether to send an enquiry and what optional information to include. If information is needed to answer a request, we will explain that. You can ask us to stop a consent-based use of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain any effect on the help we can provide.
A new purpose that requires your consent will be explained before we use your information for that purpose. Merely reading this policy is not consent to unrelated marketing or additional data processing.
Service providers and other disclosures
Netlify provides website hosting, enquiry storage and spam filtering. Enquiry notifications are sent to our business email service. Authorized administrators can review the stored submissions in Netlify. This website does not offer visitor accounts or an active payment checkout. Transactions and integrations shown in demonstrations are simulated. An email you choose to send is handled by your email service and the recipient’s email service.
Where information is processed
Tool processing and saved demo state described here remain in your browser. Enquiry submissions are processed by Netlify and notifications by the relevant email providers; this is not a promise of Canadian-only storage. Remote font requests and messages sent through your email application are handled by the relevant provider.
Retention and security
Browser storage and downloads remain subject to the controls described above. Clear saved records or site data when you no longer need them, especially on shared devices. Keep copies of work you want to retain. The website’s tools and demonstrations do not provide cloud backup for information you enter or save in your browser. Do not use them to store sensitive information.
Enquiries are stored in Netlify Forms and related correspondence may be held in our business email. We have not yet implemented a fixed retention and deletion schedule for these records. Contact Jordan Nicholls at hello@formulatedhaus.com to ask about access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements. No device or transmission method is completely secure.
Access, correction and concerns
You can contact Jordan Nicholls to ask about personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records; please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary and provide an appropriate method.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Where PIPEDA applies, access requests are generally answered within 30 days, with extensions only in circumstances allowed by law. We will explain any applicable limitation or refusal and available recourse. Deletion requests are considered in light of the purpose for holding the information and applicable legal requirements.
You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about a concern within its jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update this policy when the website or our practices change. The effective date identifies the current version. For a material change affecting how personal information is used, we will provide appropriate notice and seek consent where required. An update does not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
